What matters is whether they are used freely or still fulfill the old task of protecting personal heart power from injury.
The integrating power of Leo in the fifth house reminds you of purposeless personal joy, creative visibility, and the right to do something simply out of heartfelt pleasure. The soft side beneath it may be heard again. It might say inwardly: “My desire to be allowed to play, love, flirt, create, and enjoy attention simply because it makes me feel alive.” This softness needs neither denial nor hardness; it may be named, protected through clear personal decisions, and held within you.
The legitimate “mine” can be named here as follows: “My joy, my play, my desire, my creativity, and the time I give to something simply out of heartfelt pleasure.” The free other remains: whether others see benefit in it, how much attention they give you, and whether your joy fits their goals or ideas. This distinction in particular resolves the old misconnection without weakening either of the two forces.
For your self-observation, this is especially helpful: “What would I do out of pure heartfelt pleasure—and can I do it even if no one but me needs to recognize any meaning in it?”
A concrete exercise: Set aside time for something that does not have to serve either your work, a group, or a future goal. Let joy be the complete reason for that time.
The mature connection of both forces emerges when you allow yourself to combine collective responsibility and equality with purposeless personal joy, romance, and creative visibility. Your Aquarius power does not have to give anything up. Leo’s original life force may fully participate as an integrating force, and personal softness no longer needs to be protected through distance.
