Astrology – Lilith in Pisces

In the following texts, we look at Lilith in Pisces not as a burden, but as a guide leading you back to the fullness of your own power.

Lilith is not simply a point that – as some believe – indicates a special superpower in the birth chart. Rather, it is part of an axis between the Lilith point and the precise integration point directly opposite it. We call this point HPU.

This axis shows where an essential part of your strength was rejected and shamed – often through indoctrination. It also shows how you began to suppress or hide this part of yourself through adaptation and functionality in order to avoid being judged for it again.

Lilith does not act alone. Together with its opposite point, it forms an axis. This axis consists of two parts:

  • Your Lilith position in Pisces: This is where the pattern becomes visible that you developed in order to find safety – often through adaptation, restraint, or seeking validation from others.
  • Your integration point – HPU, the healing point of your primordial feminine power: It lies precisely opposite your Lilith position. This is where the strength resides for which you were once shamed or rejected – and which you may now reclaim and bring back into your life.

The dynamic of this axis:

  • At some point, you expressed a strong and natural side of yourself – your primordial feminine power.
  • You were shamed, rejected, or judged for this part of yourself.
  • Since then, you have hidden this strength and sought safety outside yourself instead. This protective pattern is reflected in your Lilith position.
  • When someone touches this sensitive point, you often feel attacked and automatically become defensive.
  • Your HPU shows you which strength you have hidden – and where you can begin to reintegrate it into your life.

The connection to Chiron – how you suppress your shame:

Lilith shows you where you avoid something. The HPU shows you which strength you are invited to reintegrate. But the way in which you suppress, hide, or control this strength is revealed through your Chiron wound.

This is where your strength begins to flow again:
Not: “I have to fight or hide my Yin side.”
But: “I can allow my receptivity, my softness, and my fullness to return – and let my Yang side support and carry me without becoming hardened.”
Because hardness is weakness. Your clear, grounded softness is your strength!

The General Meaning of Lilith in Pisces

With Lilith in Pisces, the Lilith force manifests especially as receptivity, compassion, imagination, intuition, and the ability to perceive subtle soul connections. This force is not the original wound. It can become an intelligent safeguard when the opposing original life force was previously experienced as unsafe.

The HPU – healing point of your primal feminine force – lies in the sign of Virgo. Its original essential force begins inwardly as clear inner discernment and the experience of being allowed to naturally perceive boundaries, concrete needs, and practical responsibility. Inwardly, there is originally the ability here to experience clearly: This is mine, this is yours, this is important now, and this is not my task. You may trust your body, your boundaries, and your concrete perception.

Only from this do concrete abilities and actions arise. You can set priorities, say no, shape routines, choose practical steps, and distinguish between compassion and actual responsibility.

It is precisely this original life force of Virgo that could have been unsettled. This discernment could become uncertain when clear boundaries were judged as unloving, sober, or petty, or when concrete needs were lost in diffuse emotional fields. From this, the concrete fear can arise: “If I set clear boundaries, examine, or make practical decisions, I will lose connection, compassion, or something essential that I have not yet understood.”

Lilith in Pisces protects through openness, compassion, intuition, and the willingness to take in many moods and possibilities at the same time.

If this safeguard is permanently overused, a feedback loop arises: boundaries and responsibilities become more unclear as a result. Overwhelm and disappointment increase and seem to confirm that life can hardly be clearly organized and that one must feel or grasp even more. Integration therefore does not mean less Pisces. The original life force of Virgo may participate again as an integrating force, so that Lilith no longer has to protect alone.

Introduction

In astrological symbolism, Lilith represents those inner areas that do not simply conform to existing structures. She points to tensions between personal needs and adaptation, between inner experience and external expectations. In a birth chart, Lilith often highlights themes connected with deeply rooted emotional conditioning, unconscious reactions, and experiences that challenge our inner boundaries.

Regardless of the specific sign or house, Lilith describes a quality that cannot simply be controlled or standardized. Her influence becomes noticeable where familiar forms of security are called into question and previously hidden inner dynamics come to the surface. The focus is less on finding immediate solutions and more on developing a deeper understanding of the underlying tensions.

The following sections therefore do not seek to judge or resolve these themes, but to explore them in a differentiated way. They describe how the respective Lilith position may be reflected in personal experience, relationships, and inner attitudes.

Harmonized Strength

An outlook on the harmonized power

Harmonisierte Kraft

When Virgo's integrative power participates again, your Pisces power remains fully intact. It simply no longer has to prevent the opposing life force from having a dangerous effect on its own.

The original life force clear inner discernment and the experience of being allowed to naturally perceive boundaries, concrete needs, and practical responsibility once again becomes an inner given. You can set priorities, say no, shape routines, choose practical steps, and distinguish between compassion and actual responsibility.

Compassion may have clear boundaries.

A practical step can embody an intuitive insight.

Your body and your everyday life may be just as important sources of truth as subtle inner perception.

The harmonized power does not arise through a balance at the expense of Pisces, but through the simultaneous effectiveness of both sides. Your Pisces power remains available, while Virgo's integrative power may once again naturally belong.

The refinement of this axis: It arises when your Pisces softness no longer needs boundlessness and Virgo's integrative power no longer has to become harshness. You may perceive deeply and feel compassion, while at the same time clearly discerning what belongs to you, to the other person, and to your actual responsibility.

The Challenge – the Cycle of Fear

The cycle does not begin with Pisces, but with the original life force in the sign of Virgo. Here there is originally clear inner discernment and the experience of being allowed to naturally perceive boundaries, concrete needs, and practical responsibility. Inwardly, there is originally the ability to experience clearly: This is mine, this is yours, this is important now, and this is not my task. You may trust your body, your boundaries, and your concrete perception.

This naturalness could become uncertain through concrete experiences. This discernment could become uncertain when clear boundaries were judged as unloving, sober, or petty, or when concrete needs were lost in diffuse emotional fields. The resulting fear is: “If I set clear boundaries, examine, or make practical decisions, I will lose connection, compassion, or something essential that I have not yet understood.”

Lilith responds to this with protection. Lilith in Pisces protects through openness, compassion, intuition, and the willingness to take in many moods and possibilities at the same time.

This strategy is initially meaningful. However, if it is needed constantly, the side effect follows: boundaries and responsibilities become less clear as a result. Overwhelm and disappointment increase and seem to confirm that life can hardly be clearly ordered and that one must feel or grasp even more.

The old fear is thereby confirmed, although part of the difficulty arises only from the constant safeguarding. The Pisces force protects more strongly, and Virgo's original life force remains excluded from conscious interplay.

The crucial point lies in the mistaken linkage: The ability to discern, examine, order, and carefully take responsibility for one's own part is not the problem. Only the old assumption needs to be resolved, that compassion can be preserved only through keeping things open, carrying along, and boundlessness. Virgo's original life force may return fully without this having to become control over the free Other.

For self-observation, the following is therefore especially helpful: “What is concretely my task here – and which feelings, expectations, or possibilities do not belong to my responsibility?” The question is not directed against your Lilith force. It examines whether the old safeguarding is still necessary today or whether Virgo's integrating force may again take part today.

Possible Causes of Emotional Wounds

The roots of the later Lilith safeguard do not lie in “too much Pisces,” but in experiences in which Virgo’s original life force lost its naturalness. At the center is clear inner discernment and the experience of being allowed to naturally perceive boundaries, concrete needs, and practical responsibility.

This discernment could become uncertain when clear boundaries were judged as unloving, sober, or petty, or when concrete needs were lost in diffuse emotional fields.

  • Boundaries were judged as cold or unloving.
  • One’s own needs were lost in the needs of others.
  • Chaotic or emotionally diffuse environments made clear responsibility difficult.
  • Practical reality and bodily signals were devalued in favor of ideals or feelings.

Not every one of these experiences needs to be present. What is decisive is the recurring message that precisely this form of Virgo’s original life force might come at an emotional, social, or practical cost.

Pisces energy develops from this a valuable protective capacity: receptivity, compassion, imagination, intuition, and the ability to perceive subtle psychological connections. Integration does not mean diminishing this strength, but allowing new experiences in which Virgo’s integrative power may safely participate again.

Dealing with Yourself – Unlocking Your Own Primal Power

In everyday life, it is not about correcting the Pisces power. It remains a genuine ability: receptivity, compassion, imagination, intuition, and the ability to perceive subtle emotional connections. What matters is whether it is used freely or still fulfills an old protective mission.

The original life force in the sign of Virgo reminds us of clear inner discernment and the experience of being allowed to naturally perceive boundaries, concrete needs, and practical responsibility. Deep within lies the original ability to clearly experience: This is mine, this is yours, this is important now, and this is not my task. You may trust your body, your boundaries, and your concrete perception.

For your self-observation, this is especially helpful: “What is concretely my task here—and which feelings, expectations, or possibilities are not part of my responsibility?”

A concrete exercise: When you feel overwhelmed by many impressions, write three columns: “mine,” “yours,” “concretely today.” Act only from the third.

The legitimate “Mine”: This includes your feelings, your perception, your body, your boundary, your decision, and the task that truly belongs to you. This clarity may belong entirely to you; it is not a betrayal of your sensitivity.

The free Other: The feelings, expectations, decisions, and paths of development of other people, as well as open processes of life that cannot be controlled through your compassion, remain free. Compassion and intuition give you perception, but no right of disposal over this part.

The mature connection of both forces: It arises when your Pisces softness no longer needs boundlessness and Virgo's integrating power no longer has to become hardness. You may perceive deeply and feel compassion while at the same time clearly distinguishing what belongs to you, to the other person, and to your actual responsibility. Virgo's integrating power therefore does not help your Pisces power to be less soft, but rather to remain soft without losing yourself, and to be clear without becoming hard.

Releasing and decoupling statements on the topic

  • I let go – of the old fear that clear boundaries destroy my compassion and separate me from what I love or perceive inwardly.
  • I let go – of the inner tension of constantly having to feel, understand, or take in even more, because a clear decision could feel too final or too harsh.
  • I let go – of the old feeling of shame that arose when my needs, boundaries, or sober perceptions were treated as petty, unloving, or insufficiently compassionate.
  • I let go – of the old pain of having disregarded myself in order to preserve connection, and only realizing in overwhelm that I, too, have a boundary.
  • I let go – of the expectation that I must remain open to everything so that I do not miss anything essential and no one feels excluded by my clarity.
  • I release my Pisces power from the old mandate of having to secure connection through boundlessness, constant empathy, or keeping all possibilities open.
  • I dissolve the old connection between clarity and unlovingness, between discernment and separation, as well as between a concrete no and the loss of compassion.
  • I dissolve the old demand of having to take in or carry feelings, expectations, and developments that do not belong to my actual responsibility.

Opening and strengthening affirmations after a release has taken place

  • I open myself to recognizing my receptivity, my compassion, and my subtle perception as genuine strength, without deriving from this the obligation to have to take everything in.
  • I allow myself to be soft here: connection, trust, and emotional openness may be important to me without my losing myself in them.
  • I allow a feeling, an intuition, or another person to touch me without immediately becoming responsible for it.
  • I allow myself to protect my softness through clear boundaries, body awareness, and concrete responsibility, rather than through boundless openness.
  • I open myself to allowing other people to carry their own feelings, decisions, and developments, even when I perceive them deeply.
  • I allow intuition and discernment to live within me at the same time: I can remain open and still clearly say what is mine and what is not.
  • I allow myself to recognize that my softness is a strength, precisely because I can name it, hold it, and protect it with clarity.
  • I open myself to a connection in which I can be soft without losing myself, and clear without becoming hard; compassion thereby takes form without losing its depth.
